Raipur, May 1, 2025 / The Chhattisgarh government has released the fifteenth installment payment for the month of May 2025 today, the first of the month, under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The Women and Child Development Department has transferred a total of ₹648.38 crore to the bank accounts of more than 69.32 lakh women in the state.

It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government launched this scheme in March 2024 to economically empower women. So far, an amount of ₹9788.78 crore has been provided to the women of the state in the last 15 consecutive months. Under the scheme, married, widowed, divorced and abandoned women in the age group of 21 to 60 years are provided with assistance of ₹1000 per month.

    Appeal to Update Aadhaar Card

The Women and Child Development Department has appealed to the beneficiary women to update their Aadhaar cards so that there is no problem in the payment of the amount. It is known that it is mandatory to update the Aadhaar card every 10 years. The payment of many beneficiaries has been canceled due to inactive Aadhaar. It is necessary for such beneficiaries to update their Aadhaar with identity and residence certificates by visiting the Aadhaar center, so that payment of the upcoming installment can be ensured.
