After publication of formation of a new district with its boundaries vide a state Gazette, state government has now invited claims and objections in written form within next 60 days.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had recently made the announcement for formation of new district keeping in mind the long pending demand of people of the region.
As per the gazette notification issued on Friday, new district has been formed by merger of existing three tehsils of Bilaspur district and named as Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, retaining existing boundaries of tehsils. On the proposal, the claims and objections in written form will be accepted for next 60 days, from the day of publication.
