Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated the women’s football team of Chhattisgarh state on becoming the national winner. In the National Inclusion (Divercity) Football Cup competition held in Central Goa, the Chhattisgarh state women’s team defeated Punjab in the final to win the title of national winner. Based on the outstanding performance in the competition, two players Vandana Dhruv and Nilima Khakha have been selected in the India camp.
Director of Sports Smt. Shweta Srivastava Sinha has congratulated the winning players for winning. All the players and senior coaches have thanked the Sports and Youth Welfare Department for this title.

If selected in the India team, he will be able to represent India in the World Cup to be held in Finland. In the winning team, Vandana Dhruv, Nilima Khakha, Chadni Srivas, Preeti Futan, Bhumika Sahu, Maneka Sachdev, Kanchan Yadav, Neha Vanshi, Devantin Nishad and Durga have made Chhattisgarh proud by showcasing their outstanding sports. It is noteworthy that 60 girls players are being given regular training daily by Sarita Kujur Toppo, Senior Instructor of Sports and Youth Welfare Department. This facility is being provided free of cost to the players by the department. Apart from this, athletic players are also practicing regularly at Kota Stadium.
