National President of Congress Smt. Sonia Gandhi today held a video conference with the Chief Ministers of all Congress ruled states and inquired about the measures to be taken from Corona and the applicable lock-down. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel also attended the conference. He gave detailed information about rescue and control of corona in Chhattisgarh, measures to provide relief to general public and needy people in lock down.
CM Baghel informed Mrs. Sonia Gandhi that 62 lakh ration cards are in the state, which have been started to distribute 2-month ration outright. In the state, 10 thousand laborers have come from outside, where arrangements have been made for lodging. 355 camps have been set up across the state, with 2200 rooms. Nutritional food is being provided to the children of Anganwadi at home, similarly mid-day meal program is being delivered to the dry ration children.
He informed that the lock down is being followed in the state. The borders of the border states have been sealed. Lock down is being strictly followed in rural areas. It has been decided to conduct health test of all the people coming from abroad in the state. 2000 works have been started in MNREGA. In which 5 lakh people are working. An amount of Rs 100 crore has been released for payment to MNREGA workers. Corona virus infection is under control in the state 9 patients were found in Chhattisgarh, 2 of whom have been cured. Grain and vegetable supplies are common in the state. Markets are under price control. Social distance is being followed in the markets.
CM Shri Baghel also told Mrs. Gandhi that the State Government has not received GST amount of Rs.2000 crore from the Central Government, similarly, only Rs.75 crore has been received in MNREGA. The government has released an amount of 100 crores including 25 crores on its behalf. 400 crore is to be received from the Center under this head, which has not been received yet.
