Smart India Hackathon 2020:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the world’s largest hackathon, the Smart Indian Hackathon 2020 (software), during the upcoming grand final on August 1. Union Minister of Human Resource Development Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank gave information on addressing PM Modi’s hackathon on Monday, 27 July 2020. Along with this, HRD Minister also participated in a high-level meeting on the achievements of the Smart India Hackathon 2020 so far. Speaking about the meeting, the HRD minister said, “To lay a strong foundation for a self-reliant India, students need to continuously track ideas and move them from idea level to prototype level. Based on these prototypes, the gap between the start of a start-up has to be eliminated so that students’ skills can be applied during school education. A mutual cooperation and innovation cell or innovation shell will be developed in all ministries. ”
What is Smart India Hackathon?
The Smart India Hackathon is a national campaign jointly launched by the All India Council for Technical Education and the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development under which students across the country are provided with a platform to solve our everyday problems with innovation and problem solving mindsets. It is made so that innovation can be promoted in the country and new thinking and talent can be exposed to solve the problems of industry along with government departments as well as new aspects. The Smart India Hackathon 2020 (software) is the fourth edition, while earlier hackathons have been conducted in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Gand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2020 (Software) will be organized from August 1 to August 3 in which more than 10 thousand participants will find solutions to 243 problems of various government departments and industry through innovation.
