Godhan Nyaya Yojana : Rs. 1.65 crore will be paid to 46,964 beneficiaries

The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the process of transferring the first payment of cow dung purchases to the account of the beneficiaries under the state government’s innovative scheme ‘Godhan Nyaya Yojana’, in a program organized at its Raipur residence office on August 5. On this occasion, Mr. Baghel will also inaugurate the Martyr Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collectors Social Security Scheme in the state.
According to the scheduled program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will garland his portrait on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed Mahendra Karma at 3 pm. This will be followed by Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Chaubey and Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar. Shri Baghel will inaugurate the process of transfer of dung purchase amount to beneficiaries’ account under Godhan Nyaya Yojana at 3.15 pm. Baghel will then discuss with the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana through video conferencing. Chief Minister Shaheed Mahendra Karma will address the program after launching the Collector Social Security Scheme at 3.35 pm. A presentation will be made by the officials of the tourism department at 3.50 pm on the Ram Van Gaman Path.
The Chief Minister will transfer the first installment amount of cow dung from July 20 to August 1 to the beneficiaries’ account through cooperative bank on August 5 from July 20 to August 1. Out of 65 thousand 694 beneficiaries registered in 4140 Gothans in the state, 82 thousand 711 quintal dung was sold by 46 thousand 964 beneficiaries, the total amount of which was transferred to the bank accounts of Rs. 1 crore 65 lakh at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg. Will go. The benefit of this scheme is being extended to the livestock owners of the end of the state, in which 38 percent women beneficiaries, 48 ​​percent other backward classes, 39 percent scheduled castes, 8 percent scheduled tribes and 5 percent general class beneficiaries. The upcoming payment of cow dung will be made on 15 August. Under this scheme, the highest number of cow dung has been sold in Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari and Balod districts of the state. Similarly, in urban areas, cattle ranchers in Raipur and Durg have sold the most dung.
The Godhan Nyaya Yojana is the first of its kind scheme in the country, in which cattle are being purchased from farmers, farmers at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg (including transportation expenses). Vermi compost will be prepared from the purchased cow dung in Gothan and it will be sold through cooperative societies. On the one hand, through this scheme, cattlemen will be benefited financially. On the other hand, organic farming will be encouraged in the state.
