Under the social security scheme of the martyr Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collectors Social Security Scheme, the nominee or successor will be provided a grant-in-aid of Rs 2 lakh on the normal death of the head of the registered collector family (in case of not being more than 50 years of age). . An additional Rs two lakh will be provided in case of death by accident. A grant of Rs 2 lakh in case of complete disability in accident and Rs 1 lakh in case of partial disability will be given.
Under the scheme, if the head of the collecting family dies normally between 50 and 59 years of age, then Rs. 30 thousand, Rs. 75 thousand on accidental death, Rs. 75 thousand on total disability in accident and partial disability. 37 thousand 500 rupees will be given to the nominee or successor of the family.
This scheme is being launched in coordination with Forest Department and Chhattisgarh State Small Forest Produce Cooperative Union, with the objective of providing social security to the families engaged in tendu leaf collection in the state of Chhattisgarh. The scheme will be implemented by the Chhattisgarh State Small Forest Produce Cooperative Union, in which the amount of grant-in-aid will be disbursed directly to the bank accounts of the collectors by resolving the cases within one month by the concerned district union itself, so that the cases will be resolved easily and quickly.
