On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the villagers of 17 villages of Mardapoti clusters under Kanker development block took a pledge to save trees by protecting them by tying defense threads in trees at the Vriksha Raksha Mittan program held in village Kulgaon. The villagers of Kulgaon village are working collectively in the trees of Palas , as well as the work of saving trees. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, villagers took a pledge to protect and preserve trees by tying Raksha Sutras to the trees. The Chief Guest of this program was chaired by Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of Kanker Legislative Assembly Shri Shishupal Shorey and chaired by Shri Rajesh Tiwari, Parliamentary Advisor to the Chief Minister (having the status of Cabinet Minister).
Addressing the villagers on this occasion, the Parliamentary Advisor to the Chief Minister said that on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a new message has been given by the villagers of this region taking a pledge to save trees. Nature has given immense blessings to Bastar region , this area is covered with forest produce , it is available to us from generation to generation , which should be planned and preserved in a planned manner ,So our life will be transformed. As per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, work is being done in the direction of saving forests and providing employment to villagers and youth from micro-forest produce. He said that efforts will be made to develop village Kulgaon as a lakh training center. Encouraging the villagers, Rajesh Tiwari said that we all have to save the forest , grow trees and make small forest produce a source of income.
Addressing the villagers, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Shishupala Shorey said that on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the brother pledges to protect his sister , similarly today we all have resolved to save her by tying Raksha Sutras in trees. We have to fulfill this resolve and save the trees. He said that those who have a message , his fragrance will be added to the spread and people it. Mr. Shorey said that the tree gives us , does not take. We all have the responsibility to save trees , nurture and nurture them and make forest produce a means of employment. He has been working on this solemn occasion, the villagers of Raksha Bandhan village Kulgavn , he is exemplary. In the program, the guests were welcomed by the sisters of the village by tying the Rakshasutra.

On this occasion Bastar Development Authority member Bireesh Thakur , District Panchayat member Narottam Padoti , District Member Ishwar Kavade and Rajesh Bhaskar , former Municipal Council Kanker President Jitendra Singh Thakur , former Councilor Kamla Gupta , Tarendra Bhandari , Sarpanch Kamlesh Padmakar and Deepak Netam , Villagers including Deputy Sarpanch Shivcharan Netam were present in large numbers.
