This picture is of the Chandi temple area of Ghunchapara in Bagbahara block. This year, due to good rainfall in the area, greenery is seen all around. Statistics show that the monsoon has been kind to the Bagbahara region this year and the rainfall in the region has been very good. As on August 10, Bagbahra block has received 897 mm of rainfall, which is more than the last three years. Bagbahara block receives an average rainfall of 1026.9 mm. In comparison, 897.6 mm of rain has been received so far this year.
The district received 139 mm more rain than
last year, whereas last year, Bagbahra block received only 480.6 mm rainfall till August 10. The district has so far received an average of 762.6 mm of rainfall. Meteorologist HP Chandra of Meteorological Center Raipur said that the monsoon Dronika is situated up to 0.9 km altitude from Bikaner, Jaipur, Gwalior, North-East Madhya Pradesh, Jamshedpur, Kantai and then south east towards Bay of Bengal in North East. An east west shear zone is located 21 km north at 3.1 km to 5.8 km altitude. Also, a low pressure area is located in and around North East Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the cyclical cyclone is made up to 2.1 km altitude.
