Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar today released the ‘Wild Elephant Protection Directory’ at his residence office in Shankar Nagar in the capital. He appreciated the joint efforts of Forest Department and Vasundhara Nature Conservation Committee on the publication of this directory for protection and public awareness of elephants and congratulated them and best wishes.
On this occasion, Forest Minister Shri Akbar said that this illustrated directory published by Vasundhara Nature Conservation Committee of the capital Raipur will definitely prove effective and effective in reducing ‘human-elephant conflict’. He informed that at present, many programs are being conducted by the department under public awareness programs in wild elephant affected areas, so that public money and crop loss can be reduced.
It is told in this illustrated directory that an elephant is a very calm, intelligent and social animal. By understanding their nature and public awareness human-elephant conflict can be reduced. Wherever the presence of elephants is reported and in the event of broken electric poles or dangling wires in the elephant variance area, immediately inform the forest department and power department officials. On this occasion, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi, Vasundhara Nature Conservation Committee Shri Gyanendra Pandey and other people associated with the organization were present.
