Walking Anganwadi workers for miles, ready-to-eat and chikki for children, pregnant and infant mothers
In the rainy season, people belonging to the ethnic groups in forest areas including farmers are engaged in farming activities. In such a situation, Anganwadi workers are walking for miles to provide nutritious food to women in their fields and places of work in remote tribal area Narayanpur so that pregnant women and children can get nutritious food on time. These Anganwadi workers are fulfilling their responsibilities with complete loyalty, honesty and responsibility even in the opposite situation like the Corona epidemic and the odd geographical conditions of the district. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has also written a letter to the Anganwadi workers and praised their Hoysala Afzai and work. Encouraged workers are working twice as enthusiastically.
Women Child Development Officer Shri Ravikant Dhurve informed that all Anganwadis are closed to prevent corona infection. Healthy ready-to-eat food and chikki are being delivered to a total of 16 thousand 917 beneficiaries, including children, pregnant and infants, lodged in 556 Anganwadi centers in Narayanpur district in Aasi. When there is no member at home, the workers are finding the whereabouts of women and distributing nutritious food to their place of work, farm-barns and other places. Special care is being taken by the workers and assistants on the food of severely malnourished children. In order to improve the health of children found vulnerable, they are being admitted to the nearest Nutrition Rehabilitation Center.
