Private sector airline provider Vistara Airlines flew from New Delhi to London Heathrow Airport on Friday.
It is noteworthy that as Corona virus cases began to rise in the country in March, all domestic and international flights were suspended to prevent the spread of the virus. However, even after five months, regular movement of air traffic could not be resumed due to increasing number of cases in India and increased infection in other parts of the world during the second wave of corona virus. This led to limited operations of airlines to limit the arrangement of “transport bubble” to governments of various countries in collaboration with select airlines.
