Chhattisgarh Weather Update: Raipur. Due to the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, the weather patterns in Chhattisgarh have changed once again. The Pratappur area of the northern border region has been receiving heavy rains since last night. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected in many areas of the state in the next 24 hours. Yellow alert has been issued for most areas of the state. Apart from this, Orange alert has been issued in some areas. There has also been a possibility of celestial lightning in some places.
A heavy rainfall alert has been issued in Jashpur, Surajpur, Mungeli, Balodabazar, Mahasamund, Korba, Janjgir-Champa and Bilaspur. Two systems are active in South Asom and Bengal. Due to these, there is a possibility of rain here. Earlier, the state had been witnessing continuous rains for the past one week. The sky was slightly open for the last two days.
According to meteorologists, the monsoon Dronika is located in the western Rajasthan, Pilani, Badaun and the eastern end of the Himalayan foothills. An upper-wind cyclonic circle is located at a height of 0.9 km in and around Gangetic West Bengal. Tomorrow on September 2, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains or thunderstorms in many places of the state. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in the state and lightning strikes with thunder flashes. The maximum temperature in the state is expected to fall for the next 2 days. The area of heavy rainfall is likely to remain mainly in Bilaspur division and its adjoining district.
