State level cyber police station will speed up investigation of cyber crimes – Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

The Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the State Cyber ​​Police Station established at the Police Headquarters today through video conference. He congratulated the police department on the occasion and said that this is a good initiative of the police department for the control of cyber crimes occurring in the state. This will help in solving various types of cyber crimes faster. Apart from this, other police stations will also get necessary guidance and technical help in research of cyber crimes.
The Chief Minister also visited the State Cyber ​​Police Station through a video conference. In the online inauguration program with him, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Chief Minister and Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Shri Subrata Sahu, Special Director General of Police, Shri R.K. Mr. Sameer Bishnoi, Chief Executive Officer of Vij and Chips was also present. At the same time, the Director General of Police Shri D.M. Awasthi, Special Director General of Police Mr. Ashok Juneja and Additional Director General of Police Mr. Himanshu Gupta also attended the program.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the inauguration program said that this cyber police station of Police Headquarters should make people aware of cyber crimes so that they do not become victims of crime and financial frauds that occur through social media. He called for awareness of citizens by going to school, college, development block and panchayat level. The Chief Minister said that the use of technology in cyber crimes and data theft is increasing constantly. Police will also have to be technically proficient to prevent them. He also asked the police force to provide necessary technical training and equipment for this.
Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu said in the program that usage of internet and technology is increasing in everyday life. While it has given many facilities to the people, its misuse by people of criminal tendency is increasing cyber crimes. By infusing technology and exploiting fear, criminals are committing new types of crimes. These can be controlled only by the state-of-the-art facilities and technology of investigation. The police department is continuously adopting new techniques for research of crimes and maintaining law and order. He asked the Home Department officials to keep complete arrangements and preparations according to future needs. Shri Sahu informed that for better coordination and guidance between the field stations and the State Cyber ​​Police Station, such cyber police stations will also be established in all police range headquarters.Special Director General of Police, Shri R.K. Vij said in the program that under the Information Technology Act (as amended) -2000 in the State Cyber ​​Police Station, major cases will be registered and investigated. Remaining cyber cases will continue to be registered in normal police stations as before. Along with deliberating important cases, this station will not only guide all district units on information technology related matters, but will also carry out coordination related tasks in various portals and inter-state matters related to cyber crime of the Central Government. Officers of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police have been made investigating officers in the State Cyber ​​Police Station. He informed that a lab has also been established at the Police Headquarters to check the electronic evidences. In the inaugural function of the State Cyber ​​Police Station, Inspector General of all Police Ranges, senior officers of various branches of Police Headquarters and Superintendents of Police of many districts also participated in the video conference.
