Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that the farmers affected due to floods and insects in the state will be compensated for their entire damaged crop. Although the state of the economy is bad due to the Kovid crisis in the state, but no core will be left to help the farmers. He was reviewing the crop that was damaged due to floods and insects on Monday.
The CM said that he has urged the Prime Minister and Union Ministers in this regard. A team of ministers and officials will be sent to the central government for its followup. Farmers will get adequate assistance as soon as possible. Farmers should not worry at all, the government is fully with them. Survey of damage to crops in the state has been completed. A central government team has also been surveyed in this regard.
Principal Secretary of Revenue Manish Rastogi said that 39.95 lakh hectare area has been affected in the state, for which compensation of about 4000 crores is expected. Out of this, 37 lakh hectare area has suffered more than 33 percent loss. An amount of Rs 2487.21 crore has been sought from the Central Government for the damage to crops in 34.87 lakh hectares.
