Veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise team Delhi Capitals has been ruled out of the current 13th season of the IPL due to injury. Delhi Capitals said in a statement that Ishant had a muscle strain during the training session on October 7. The 32-year-old Ishant was able to play only matches against Sunriser Hyderabad this season, in which he could not get a wicket. Delhi Capitals fast bowler Ishant Sharma felt pain in the left rib while bowling in the team training session in Dubai on October 7, Delhi Capitals said. Subsequently, the investigation revealed that he had a left muscle strain. This injury will unfortunately force him out of the remaining matches of IPL-13. Ishant has played 97 Tests, 80 ODIs and 14 T20 Internationals for India. Ishant can be replaced by fast bowler Pradeep Sangwan, who is a Delhi practice bowler there. One problem for Delhi is the injury to wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who will not be able to play a match for a week.
