The Supreme Court said the government’s decision on the security of Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani said that the Central Security Force has asked the CRPF to take up this responsibility with immediate effect. Sources said that after analyzing the security and threats received by the central security agencies, Ambani had been recommended to provide security round the clock. She will provide security to the private person in the same way as she provides to those associated with government service in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.
The then Director General of CRPF, Pranay Sahay had said, “It will cost about 15 lakh rupees for the operation of security personal salary and escort vehicles.” He had said that Ambani himself will bear the expenses as the Home Ministry order clearly states that Ambani is also planning to provide security to Antilia, Mumbai’s home on Altamount Road. Security has been tightened in and around the house following the threat.
