There is again a dispute about the Aarogya Setu App, designed to stop the spread of Kovid-19. The central government has given clarification on the latest controversy. “The Arogya Setu App was prepared in record time to take up contact tracing,” the statement said. In fact, there was news earlier about who created the Arogya Setu App about electronics and information technology. The Ministry and the National Informatics Center (NIC) have not informed the Information Commission.
In this regard, the Central Information Commission (CIC) issued a notice to the government that “the Chief Public Information Officer of NIC should state that when it is mentioned on the website that the Arogya Setu Manch is referred to by the National Informatics Center, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and India Designed, developed and hosted by the government, how is it then that the Information Commissioner was hearing the petition of a person named Sourav Das. Das had sought information from the government about the details of making Arogya Setu App, under which law it is working and whether the government is planning to bring a separate law to handle the data collected by this app.
