Initial preparations for Kovid-19 vaccination have started in Chhattisgarh too. According to the instructions of the Government of India, a data base of health workers working in all government and private health institutions of the state is being prepared. This will be helpful in deciding the priority for data-base vaccination. The inclusion of names in the data-base does not mean that they will be compulsorily vaccinated. The decision in this regard will be taken by the Government of India.
Officials of the Health Department said that a State Task Force Committee has been constituted for better interdepartmental coordination for the preparation and smooth conduct of Kovid-19 vaccination. A state level steering committee is also being formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. Orders have been given for the formation of District Task Force Committee in all districts.
The mission directors of the National Health Mission for Kovid-19 vaccination will be the State Nodal Officer and the State Immunization Officer will be the Assistant Nodal Officer. The Nodal Officer for the districts will be the concerned Collector and the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Assistant Nodal Officer. Further action will be taken as per the instructions received by the Government of India in this regard.
