Chief Defense Chairman General Bipin Rawat said on Friday that the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in East Ladakh still remains tense. He said that the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) is facing unforeseen consequences due to the strong response of the Indian forces to their audacity in Ladakh. Bapin Rawat said, our stand is clear that we will not accept any change in the Line of Actual Control. He said that the situation on LAC in East Ladakh still remained tense.
Bipin Rawat said that there could be no denial of the possibility of skirmishing on the border and turning into a major conflict without provocation. It is noteworthy that about 50,000 soldiers of India are stationed at the mountainous heights to cope with any situation in the freezing cold in eastern Ladakh. There has been no concrete result so far of several rounds of talks between the two countries in the past regarding this deadlock that has been going on for six months. According to officials, the Chinese army has also deployed about 50,000 soldiers. India has been saying that it is the responsibility of China to remove the troops and reduce the tension. Rawat also said that relations between India and Pakistan have worsened due to Pakistan’s persistent proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir and wicked rhetoric against India.
