Chief Secretary Shri R.P. A meeting of the Project Construction and Implementation Committee was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here today under the chairmanship of the Board. The meeting approved the proposal of the new assembly building to be constructed mainly by the Public Works Department in Sector-19 of Nava Raipur and the Kharang-Ahiran Reservoir Project in Bilaspur District and the Chapratola Feeder Reservoir Project by the Water Resources Department.
In the meeting, Secretary of Public Works Department, Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi gave detailed information about the new assembly building to be constructed in Sector-19 of Nava Raipur. He informed that the proposed cost of construction of the new assembly building will be about 275 crore 76 lakh 19 thousand rupees. The assembly building will be constructed primarily as ground floor-first-floor. The House, Assembly Speaker Office, Chief Minister’s Office, Ministers ‘Room, Office of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Committee Meeting Room and Officers’ Room will be constructed for the Assembly proceedings in the ground floor. In the first floor, the Gallery of the Assembly House will be constructed. Which mainly consists of media, Public and VIPs will be given admission. A 200-seater conference hall will be constructed in the first floor itself. In the second floor, the assembly library and central hall will be built mainly. The Chief Secretary has directed the officers of the department to construct the proposed rooms for meetings in the new assembly building in the right manner. So that there is no obstruction in the meeting arrangement. He has given instructions to make orderly meeting arrangements for officers of the level of Secretary and Head of Department and their offices.
