Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of the late former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari will get engaged to US-based businessman Mahmood Chaudhry on Friday. The news was announced by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) through its official Twitter account.
“President Asif Ali Zardari is pleased to announce, with the grace of God, the engagement of his and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari with Mr Mahmood Chaudhry on November 27, 2020,” PPP media cell said.
According to a report in Dawn, Chaudhry’s family ‘also has business interests in Dubai’. The engagement is slated to take place at Bilawal House in Karachi. The Mehendi ceremony will also take place at the same venue.Taking place at a time when the world is fighting COVID-19, the invitees have been asked to get themselves tested for COVID-19. They have been instructed to email a copy of their COVID-19 test report 24 hours prior to the ceremony. Guests have been barred from carrying their mobile phones, Pakistani media reported citing sources. Photography has been banned at the venue, multiple news reports said.
