Razer announces its latest TWS earbuds. The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro has some improvements over its predecessor, including updated microphones, a new in-ear fit, customizable touch controls, a redesigned case, and improved battery life.
Since the new design has an in-ear fit, Razer made sure that most folks can find a comfortable fit, so it included 7 different pairs of tips with the new Hammerheads. There are three smooth silicone sizes, three soft-silicone sizes, and one pair of Comply foam tips.
All this effort for making sure the buds fit well is for Razer’s Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. Similar to how the Razer Opus headphones did this, ear bud has exterior and interior noise-cancelling microphones to analyze both the sound outside the buds and the sound going into your ear. This works in conjunction with the passive noise isolation that’s already achieved with the seal around the ear. There’s even a feature in the companion app that will play a sound and verify whether the tip you chose creates a tight enough seal.
The earbuds are THX-certified, so we’re expecting to hear nice sound from the 10mm drivers. Granted, these drivers are smaller than those on the previous TWS Hammerheads due to all the added noise-cancelling hardware, but let’s hope that doesn’t take away from the sound quality. Either way, like the Opus Headphones, these are THX-Certified.
