The Indian team management has flatly rejected Australian claims of calling the Concussion Institute a ‘strategic move’ during the first T20 match between India and Australia. Left arm spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja of the Indian team was hit by fast bowler Mitchell Starc at the helmet during the batting in the last over of the Indian innings of this match played on Friday.
Jadeja did not come down to fielding in Australia’s innings and Team India included leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in the team as Jadeja’s concussion. Australia coach Justin Langer, however, opposed the decision and also had an argument with match referee David Boon, but Chahal was allowed to join the team after dismissing his opposition. A senior Team India official told Cricbuzz that the decision was taken when Jadeja complained of nervousness and giddiness when he returned to the dressing room. Because of which Yuzvendra Chahal was fielded in place of Jadeja.
