For the past few days, the ongoing fall in the price of gold took a break today. Gold for February delivery opened at Rs 73 on MCX. It closed at Rs 49077 per 10 gram in the previous session and opened at Rs 49150.
During this time it touched a low of Rs 49103 and a high of Rs 49165. At around 10 in the morning, it was trading at a rate of Rs 49137 per 10 grams with a rise of 60 rupees. Gold for April delivery was trading up by Rs 33 to trade at Rs 49186.
On the other hand, gold prices fell by Rs 534 to Rs 48,652 per 10 grams on Thursday in the Delhi bullion market, in line with the weak trend in precious metals prices in the global markets.
In the previous trading session, gold had closed at Rs 49,186 per 10 grams. Silver also declined by Rs 628 to Rs 62,711 per kg. The previous closing price was Rs 63,339 per kg. In the international market, gold declined to $ 1,835 an ounce, while silver remained unchanged at $ 23.84 an ounce.
