The agricultural roadmap was started in the year 2008 and now the third agricultural roadmap is going on. This has increased both production and productivity in the agricultural sector. Agriculture is the basis of livelihood of 76 percent of the people in the state. The state of flood and drought remains constant in the state. Farmers will benefit greatly by adopting a weather-friendly crop cycle. The Chief Minister said that the Agriculture Department has selected five villages in all the districts for the implementation of climate-friendly agriculture program.
Farmers will be aware and benefited by this. He said that climate-friendly agriculture reduces the cost of farmers and benefits them more.
