In the last trading session, gold and silver prices had seen a great rise, but today in the initial trading, gold and silver are trading with mild softness. Gold futures on MCX are trading at Rs 50288 with a weakness of Rs 100 per 10 grams.
On Thursday, there was a strong rise in gold in the second session, gold strengthened by Rs 749 and closed at Rs 50346 per 10 grams. On Thursday, gold also touched an intra-day high of Rs 50,642. At present, there is a limited scope of trading in gold.
At the same time, there is a slight weakness in silver in early trading. Silver futures on MCX are trading down by Rs 380 to Rs 67,885 per kg. Yesterday saw a spurt in silver, silver strengthened by Rs 2285 to close at Rs 68267 per kg. Yesterday silver traded in a very long range, yesterday touched a level of 68398 in intraday and also touched a low of 66588, a day before that i.e. on Wednesday, silver had closed at Rs 65911.
