Aladdin’s lamp is proving to be the two seeding units of Patarhi and Pandaripani in Korba district in terms of providing disease-free and healthy stems of vegetables in any season. So far, over two lakh vegetables have been prepared from these units and distributed to the farmers. With the commencement of these two units, not only Korba, but also the worry and hard work of saving the vegetable growers of the nearby border districts of Janjgir-Champa, Raigad, Korea by making a tremble is over. With the seedling units, the farmers are getting the vegetable and spice class crops at a cost of only sixty paise and they are provided with tremors, water supply, Along with fertilizer, medicine, etc., the trouble of maintenance of the tremor has got rid of. After these units are fully operational, the production of vegetables has also increased in the district at a low cost. This state-of-the-art mini plug type seeding production units have been started in the government horticulture nurseries of Patariphi and Katghora development blocks of Korba development block. Tomato, brinjal, green chillies, cauliflower, cauliflower, cabbage as well as vegetables like bitter gourd and gourd are being made in both these units. Suryakant Thakur, a farmer of village Bendarkona, has prepared bitter gourd and tomato plants from the seeding unit. Suryakant says that with the installation of this unit, the risk at the stage of preparing vegetable nursery has been completely eliminated. Farmers first had to bear the entire risk of water scarcity, diseases and diseases etc. in preparing nurseries in their fields. Nurseries in the production unit are prepared by germinating seeds in a controlled environment, thereby completely eliminating the risk of farmers and getting more healthy and disease free plants on time. Similarly, Chandram Prakash Aggarwal, a farmer of Rajgamar, has planted tomato and chilli stems from the seeding unit and planted them in the fields. Chandraprakash states that the production of vegetables is increasing up to 20 percent more than the normal thars when plants are installed in the seeding unit.
