Mumbai assault mastermind and Lakshar-e-Taiba (LeT) operations commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was on Saturday arrested in Pakistan on terror financing costs, an official stated.
Lakhvi, who was on bail since 2015 within the Mumbai assault case, was arrested by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
However, the CTD didn’t point out his place of arrest.
“Following an intelligence-based operation performed by the CTD Punjab, proscribed organisation LeT chief Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was arrested on costs of terrorism financing,” it stated.
