Hundreds of farmers, who have been marching in the direction of Red Bishop in Sector 1 from Chandimandir toll plaza to stage a protest and present black flags to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in opposition to the farm legal guidelines launched by the Centre, have been stopped by the police close to the toll barrier Sunday afternoon.
The farmers, ultimately, raised slogans in opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Khattar and waved black flags on the spot. There was no report of any confrontation or use of power by the police.
The police saved one facet of the Zirakpur-Shimla freeway, which approaches Panchkula, blocked by parking buses till round 5 pm.
A gaggle of farmers, principally from the cities of Kalka-Pinjore, has been tenting at Chandimandir toll plaza since December 25 to make sure their toll-free motion, “till the central government takes back contentious farm laws”.
Khattar has been going through the ire of farmers throughout the state for his authorities’s actions to cease the farmers from marching in the direction of Delhi and the next controversial statements relating to the farmers’ protests.
On December 24 when CM Khattar was within the metropolis to marketing campaign for BJP-JJP candidates for the MC polls, numerous farmers have been detained by the police to limit them from protesting infront of the CM.
