New Delhi: Condemning the violent scenario that unfolded on the US Capitol in Washington on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday stated the democratic course of can’t be allowed to be subverted by means of illegal protests and referred to as for an orderly and peaceable switch of energy.
“Distressed to see news about rioting and violence in Washington DC. Orderly and peaceful transfer of power must continue. The democratic process cannot be allowed to be subverted through unlawful protests,” he tweeted.
