New Delhi: A case was on Sunday lodged towards Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee after he stoked an argument by citing Sita, Ram and Hathras rape sufferer at a rally.
While addressing a rally in West Bengal on Saturday, the TMC MP claimed that Sita advised Lord Ram it was luck that she was kidnapped by Ravana and never by his “chelas” or else her destiny would have been the identical because the Hathras sufferer. The video quickly went viral on social media.
An FIR was registered towards the TMC MP in Golabari police station of Howrah district on Sunday.
