A Chinese soldier, who was apprehended by the Indian Army in japanese Ladakh three days in the past, was handed again to China on Monday, official sources mentioned. The soldier of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was apprehended on the southern financial institution of Pangong Tso in japanese Ladakh on Friday morning after he transgressed throughout the Indian aspect of the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The sources mentioned the soldier was handed again to China on the Chushul-Moldo border level in japanese Ladakh at 10.10 am.
Indian and Chinese troops are locked in a tense border standoff in japanese Ladakh for over eight months. The faceoff started in May final 12 months, following a conflict between the 2 sides within the Pangong lake space.
“The PLA soldier had transgressed across the LAC and was taken into custody by Indian troops deployed in this area. Troops from either side are deployed along the LAC since friction erupted last year due to unprecedented mobilisation and forward concentration by Chinese troops,” the Army mentioned in an announcement on Saturday.
