ANGUL: A 25-year-old man was burnt to loss of life in Odisha’s Angul district allegedly by his family members for recurrently creating nuisance after getting drunk, police mentioned on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Kadalimunda village falling below Handapa police station limits, they mentioned.
According to locals, the person was tied to a tree and set on fireplace after sprinkling petrol on him, a senior officer mentioned.
He was taken to a state-run hospital the place docs declared him introduced lifeless.
“A preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased, identified as Raj Kishore Pradhan, often consumed alcohol and his relatives did not like him ill-treating and misbehaving with them,” the officer mentioned.
Pradhan’s physique has been despatched for postmortem, he mentioned, including that additional investigation is underway.
