Delhi witnessed dense fog on Saturday morning that led to poor visibility in a number of components of the nationwide capital. At least 4 flights to/from Delhi airport are delayed and not less than one flight stands cancelled on account of fog. Delhi airport authority said that on account of dense fog, solely CAT IIIA and CATIII B compliant plane and pilots can function. Passengers are requested to contact the airline involved for up to date flight data.

The gradual winds and air flow situations are extraordinarily unfavourable for dispersion of pollution which result in deterioration in air high quality. As per System of Air Quality & Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s total air high quality index (AQI) stood at 492 i.e, ‘extreme’ class.

Meanwhile, 9.8℃ temperature was recorded in Delhi’s Palam at 5:30 am on Saturday. According to IMD, the temperature is more likely to fall by 0.2℃ throughout subsequent 24 hours. While, Safdarjung recorded 8.6℃ temperature, which is more likely to rise by 1.2℃ throughout subsequent 24 hours.
