National Road Safety Month Kicks Off In Odisha – ODISHA BYTES

Bhubaneswar: Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi flagged off an consciousness marketing campaign in Bhubaneswar kicking off the National Road Safety Month that started on Monday.
Addressing mediapersons, Sarangi stated “We used to observe Road Safety Week every year, but from this year we will try to observe it for a month. Despite stringent traffic laws and increased fine amount people are not obeying the rules.”
Concerted efforts can be made to achieve out to the lots in giant quantity throughout this month-long marketing campaign for creating consciousness on street security norms and visitors guidelines, he added.
Stating that the majority accident happen by bikes, he requested the youth to shun autos and use cycles. “This will have dual benefits of leading a healthy life and saving lives as well,”  he added
National Road Safety Month can be noticed until 17 February to create consciousness about street security and cut back street accidents in India.
