WAYANAD: A 26-year outdated lady vacationer from Kerala was trampled to dying by a wild elephant at a distant resort at Meppadi in Wayanad district, police stated.
The surprising incident occurred round 8 PM on the Rain forest resort on Saturday.
The lady, Shahana, a university lecturer hailing from Kannur, had come to the resort with two members of the family they usually have been staying in a tent, when the animal attacked.
The resort is positioned on the forest fringe and the world is frequented by wild elephants.
Upon listening to the trumpeting sound of a wild elephant, the sufferer and two others got here out of their tent and have been attacked,police stated.
While two others managed to run away to security, the lady was killed.
Though the lady was rushed to a hospital, her life couldn’t be saved.
Wayanad district Collector, Adeela Abdulla, visited the resort and has sought a report from the tahsildar.
