Delhi Violence: 80 Artistes From Odisha Bear The Brunt, Rescued By Delhi Police

Bhubaneswar: A bunch of 80 Bajasal artistes from Odisha bore the brunt of the agitating farmers’ tractor rally and the following violence in Delhi on the event of the Republic Day on Tuesday.
The artistes, who had gone to Delhi to carry out Bajasal, a well-liked tribal folks dance of Kalahandi district on the Republic Day parade, remained stranded for a number of hours as a result of protest in opposition to Centre’s three farm legal guidelines earlier than being rescued by police.
According to sources, after completion of their efficiency on the Rajpath, the artistes have been making ready to go away for his or her vacation spot when farmers began the tractor rally. They bought stranded at Red Fort together with artistes from different States.
The artistes remained caught there for 5 hours from 12 PM. In the night, police rescued the artistes and shifted to Daryaganj Mess of Delhi Police.
Apart from the artistes, kids who had gone to Delhi to obtain varied awards have been additionally caught as a result of violence.
“There were around 300 artists including children at the Red Fort. As the situation developed, we provided them with food and shifted them to a safe place, Daryaganj Mess,” DCP (North) Anto Alphonse informed information company ANI.
