Two days after the centre suggested Uttarakhand authorities to cap the numbers of devotees attending Kumbh Mela in Haridwar and study curbing the period of the occasion, chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Wednesday mentioned that no danger needs to be taken which could make Haridwar one other “Wuhan” or a “markaz”.
Speaking to reporters, Rawat mentioned that India has set a report by its measures in view of Covid-19. “No risk should be taken that turns Haridwar into Wuhan or a markaz. With that thought, the Government of India has issued guidelines so that Haridwar does not become a reason of infection transmission,” Rawat mentioned. CM added that 1000’s of individuals had died when an epidemic broke out in Kumbh as soon as up to now and therefore no danger will be taken.
Kumbh Mela-2021 is more likely to be held from February 27 to April 30. An estimated 10 lakh individuals is predicted to attend the mela on an everyday day and about 50 lakh individuals on six particular days.
Health Ministry had earlier issued SOPs laying down important necessities for being eligible to attend the Mela akin to medical certificates, unfavorable RT-PCT check report, pre-registration, discouraging susceptible teams to attend and many others.
