New Delhi: In a surprising incident, a 26-year-old legislation scholar from Udaipur in Rajasthan was arrested on Saturday (January 30) for allegedly sending dying and rape threats to Rohini Singh, senior journalist and frequent contributor to The Wire.
According to police official, he has been held for felony intimidation and intention to insult the modesty of a lady after he allegedly threatened a lady journalist from Delhi on social media.
The menace was given on Twitter in response to Rohini Singh’s tweet on the farmers’ tractor rally.
The 26-year-old recognized as Kapil Viayan had threatened her by sending her a direct message on Twitter. In a tweet in regards to the threats, Singh tagged Udaipur vary police and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and demanded motion.

After the arrest, Journalist Rohini Singh later thanked Gehlot and Udaipur police for the immediate motion.
