The International Press Academy has introduced the nominees in numerous classes for the twenty fifth Satellite Awards. And director Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Jallikattu is among the many 9 shortlisted films within the Motion Picture, International class. The Malayalam action-thriller has been nominated together with Danish movie Another Round, Finnish movie Tove, Taiwanese drama A Sun, French movie Two of Us, Spanish musical drama I’m No Longer Here, Ukrainian dystopian movie Atlantis, Swiss drama My Little Sister and Guatemalan supernatural horror La Llorona.
The nomination assumes significance as Jallikattu can be contesting for an Oscar nod.
Talking concerning the Academy Awards, Jallikattu has made it to the record of 93 movies eligible for consideration within the International Feature Film class. The last record of nominees (comprising 15 movies) for the class will likely be revealed on February 9.

The 93rd Academy Awards is about to happen on April 25.
Jallikattu has been a favorite of the pageant circuit since its debut at Toronto International Film Festival. The medium-budget spectacle thriller is a couple of buffalo, which fits on a rampage in a hilly village. And it units off an emotionally-charged chase.
The movie relies on a brief story titled Maoist by S Hareesh, who additionally wrote the screenplay for the big-screen adaptation together with R Jayakumar.
