Former India batsman Sanjay Bangar was on Wednesday appointed because the batting guide of Indian Premier League aspect Royal Challengers Bangalore forward of the upcoming season.

The 48-year-old Bangar, who performed 12 Tests and 15 ODIs between 2001 and 2004, shall be reunited with India skipper Virat Kohli in his new function with RCB.
He will be a part of Mike Hesson, the director of cricket operations for RCB, and Simon Katich, the top coach.
The 14th version of the IPL shall be held in India within the second week of April.
