4.7 magnitude earthquake rocks Assam.
An earthquake measuring 4.7 shook Sonitpur district of Assam and Guwahati at 5.54 pm on Wednesday, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) stated.
There is not any report of any lack of life or harm reported to this point, police stated.
People rushed outside in concern after the quake.

The epicentre of the quake was at a depth of ten km situated on latitude 26.71 levels north and longitude 92.63 levels east in Tezpur space of Sonitpur district, the NCS stated.
