Despite monetary constraints, the Tripura authorities has introduced a 3 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA) from subsequent month for its staff and pensioners, a minister stated.
The announcement was made for the primary time because the BJP-IPFT authorities got here to energy within the state in 2018. The authorities will spend a further quantity of Rs 320 crore within the subsequent fiscal for the three per cent improve in DA and dearness aid (DR) for its staff and pensioners, Law Minister and the federal government’s spokesperson Ratan Lal Nath stated on Thursday.
The hike in DA and DR can be efficient from March 1, he stated.
“We are facing challenges as the previous Left Front government put a huge financial burden on us. The pay scale, as per the 7th Pay Commission, has been revised for the government teachers and employees after we came to power,” Nath stated.
He stated 1,10,517 common authorities staff, 67,809 pensioners and 12,178 daily-rated employees can be benefited from the hike in allowance.
