A “partial lockdown” can be imposed in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad in view of the spike in coronavirus circumstances. The restrictions, efficient between March 11 and April 4, can have shut malls, markets, and cinema halls through the weekends.

“The partial lockdown in Aurangabad district will come into force from March 11 and will continue till April 4,” collector Chavan instructed reporters after the assembly.
“Markets shall remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but essential services shall operate on these days. Marriage ceremonies will not be allowed to be held at function halls and banquet halls during this period to avoid crowding. But the facility of registered marriage will be open,” he stated.
Malls and cinema halls will stay shut through the weekends. Restaurants and accommodations can function at 50 per cent of their seating capability until 9 pm on a regular basis and other people can order meals from them until 11 pm, he added.
According to Chavan, on-line schooling shall proceed as schools, faculties, and coaching institutes shall stay shut and libraries shall function at 50 per cent of their seating capability.
“Political, religious, social meetings, marches will be prohibited during this period. Swimming pools, sports competitions shall not be permitted,” Chavan stated.
The world heritage websites of Ajanta and Ellora together with different vacationer spots within the district shall stay closed on Saturdays and Sundays, he stated.
Industries will proceed to function on this interval however the the workforce there can be instructed to bear RT-PCR assessments, the collector stated.
The administration has determined to close Jadhavwadi market in Aurangabad metropolis for seven days from March 11, he stated, including, “If traders from this market commit to follow guidelines we can rethink of this decision later.”
“Bringing activities to a halt will not be done if partial lockdown works. If cases continue to go up, the option of imposing a stricter lockdown is open,” Chavan stated.
