Odisha’s First Maintenance Manhole Cleaning Robot ‘Bandicoot’ Inaugurated In Puri

Puri: Odisha’s first upkeep gap cleansing robotic ‘Bandicoot’ inaugurated in Puri City on Saturday. Odisha Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash inaugurated the robotic.
Earlier, staff used to enter and clear the manhole. However, the Supreme Court of India put a ban on this following which the ‘Bandicoot’ robotic is getting used for cleansing functions.
The challenge has been already launched in 14 States of the nation and that is the primary time that robotic machine ‘Bandicoot’ is being utilized in Odisha. The State authorities is reportedly finishing up the challenge within the Pilgrim City as a pilot challenge.
The robotic ‘Bandicoot’ can be used to wash round 8000 manholes in Puri on a trial foundation, mentioned sources.
Introduction of the challenge has set the course for the state to attain its mission of 100 per cent mechanised cleansing of sewage community system, added the sources.
The ‘Bandicoot’ is a robotic machine that’s engineered for cleansing any kind of sewer manholes. The robotic consists of two main models, a stand unit and a robotic drone unit. The drone unit will dive into the manholes for the cleansing operations or unblocking operations.
