Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday began a nine-day conditioning camp right here as a part of its preparation for the upcoming version of the Indian Premier League starting on April 9.
As many as 11 gamers, together with spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, pacers Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj, started their coaching beneath the steering of Mike Hesson, director of cricket operations and head coach Simon Katich.
The remainder of the gamers will be part of the camp after finishing their seven day necessary quarantine put in place by the IPL as a result of raging COVID-19 pandemic.
RCB skipper Virat Kohli will be part of the squad on Thursday. He can also be prone to bear the necessary week-long quarantine.
“A nine-day conditioning camp has begun for Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Centre for Sports Science (CSS) facilities at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai…,” the franchise mentioned in a launch.
“The camp will present a possibility for all gamers to work with skilled coaches & employees like Sanjay Bangar, Sriram Sridharan, Adam Griffith, Shankar Basu & Malolan Rangarajan.
“The camp is focused on strenuous fitness drills for conditioning and strengthening regimes under the guidance of Shankar Basu,” it added.
RCB will tackle defending champions Mumbai Indians within the match opener to be performed on the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 9.
Players taking part within the camp: Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel, Shahbaz Ahmed, Pavan Deshpande, Mohammed Azharuddeen, Rajat Patidar, Sachin Baby, Suyash Prabhudesai, Ok S Bharat.
