Rajasthan Royals’ new recruit Shivam Dube says he is able to bat at any place for his group and is seeking to get some “extra tips” from Director Of Cricket Kumara Sangakkara to enhance his batting throughout the IPL starting on April 9.
Dube, who has featured in a single ODI and 9 T20s for India, was introduced by the Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs 4.40 crores throughout the IPL public sale in February.
“I think, I have played at many positions, so I don’t care much about what I can do, I care much about what teams needs from me,” 27-year-old Dube instructed PTI in an interplay right here.
“So if they need me to bat up the order, I can bat at any quantity, early within the innings, and if they need me as a finisher in any sport, I can do this additionally.
“I have played the roles in many formats, like many tournaments of the IPL and domestic and Indian teams also, so I am really free about that.”
After the IPL auctions, Sangakkara had stated that Dube’s batting would be the predominant focus and “if there is an opportunity for him to bowl, it would be very rarely and very few overs, if at all.”
Dube stated he’s trying ahead to getting some “extra-tips” from the Sri Lankan legend, with whom he can be working within the upcoming season.
“… he (Sangakkara) has played a lot of cricket and he is going to watch me and going to tell me what I need to add in my game to improve and to be a better left-handed batsman,” he stated.
“Many things would be there, but from a batting perspective, it would be more from my side to get some extra tips from Sanga (Sangakkara), so I can perform well in the tournament.”
Dube stated he’s solely centered on profitable the trophy for his group.
“First of all … if I’m taking part in for any group, I simply count on my group and myself to goal for the trophy. I don’t count on (something personally)…as a result of as an expert you recognize what you need and what groups gives you, what roles it’s important to play and that you’re going to get from the coach…

Rajasthan Royals, who had received the inaugural title in 2008, will begin their IPL 2021 marketing campaign towards Punjab Kings on April 12.
