Maharashtra Home Minister and NCP chief Anil Deshmukh has written to CM Uddhav Thackeray stating that he’s stepping down because the Home Minister. Deshmukh’s resignation has come hours after the Bombay HC requested the CBI to probe the allegations of corruption raised in opposition to him by former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh.

In a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray, Deshmukh has written that the HC has ordered the CBI to begin a preliminary investigation in opposition to him. He has added that it isn’t morally acceptable for him to proceed because the Home Minister of the state whereas the CBI initiates a probe. He has, subsequently determined to voluntarily steer clear of the Home Minister’s publish and has requested the CM to alleviate him from his duties because the Home Minister.
Bombay HC orders CBI probe in opposition to Anil Deshmukh
Earlier at present, the Bombay HC had ordered the CBI to analyze the allegations of corruption in opposition to Deshmukh raised by Param Bir Singh. The HC included in its verdict that the CBI needn’t file an FIR instantly because the state has already taken steps for a probe by a high-level committee into the matter. The HC gave the probe company 15 days to look into the matter. Once the preliminary inquiry is full, the director CBI is at discretion to additional plan of action, the Chief Justice Dipankar Datta had mentioned.
Former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh had alleged that Anil Deshmukh had requested tainted cop Sachin Vaze to ‘collect’ Rs 100 crores per 30 days from dance bars and eating places in Mumbai.
