An earthquake of three.2 magnitude on the Richter scale was but once more reported from Assam’s Sonitpur Friday night, based on the info shared by the National Center for Seismology.
This comes two days after a large 6.7 magnitude tremor rocked Dhekiajuli city within the state’s Sonitpur district on Wednesday morning injuring not less than 10 individuals and inflicting intensive harm to a number of homes and buildings.

Six aftershocks, of magnitude starting from 3.2 to 4.7, occurred within the two-and-a-half hours following the principle tremor. A complete of 18 aftershocks hit the district and its close by areas on either side of the Brahmaputra in central Assam, based on a PTI report.
After senior minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted on Twitter informing in regards to the earthquake, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and guaranteed all assist from the Centre.
